  • Inspired

I got my first camera when I was 11 years old as I was heading off to England for the summer with my grandparents.  It was a Kodak 126 box but it captured the memories of that vacation.  Looking back, I can see that I was inspired by the world around me.

Fast forward a bunch of years and I'm still fascinated by photography and the world around me.  The challenge is to capture the beauty, and enable someone else to feel it, and wish they had been there.  I spent years shooting concerts and being a "celebrity stalker" before settling down and concentrating on nature and the world around me.

I find the challenge of capturing the true nature of people to be inspiring. It is in the moments that the picture is snapped, that the character is captured. I love shooting people.

  • My Work

I am available for all kinds of photo work, whether it be going for a walk and taking pictures or sitting in a studio under the lights.  There isn't much that I won't do, to capture the photos you want. I am willing to travel anywhere that I am required to take the pictures you are looking for. Please contact me for details.

Family Time

After Christmas I had a chance to shoot my favourite family.  Plans went awry as the weather didn’t want to co-operate, but we found an inside venue and set up the lights.  I’ve never been a big fan of studio shooting but we made it work.  We laughed and had so much fun.  Here’s a sampling.

Thanks. It was so much fun that day. I’m glad you like them. You have such a photogenic family that it wasn’t hard! I look forward to shooting you again sometime.

wow… nice work sabina… the lighting is great – there are some very nice shots there…. i look forward to when we can shoot that video we’ve talked about… let’s talk more… wx (((o)))

Montreal

I went to Montreal for a conference.  I think everyone should go here at least once.  Growing up in Ottawa I was spoiled as it was only 2 hours away.  Now that it’s halfway across the country, I don’t see it as often.  Old Montreal hadn’t changed much.

That Boy Can Sing

Growing up, Donny Osmond was an obsession of mine.  I thought I would grow out of it, but I guess I never did.  I’ve grown up, I pay less attention, but he’s got talent and he can entertain – so I venture out to see him when I get the chance.  His smile was alway so contagious when he performed.
